Design, develop, and maintain a database to track and compile key system data to drive Cyber projects aimed at meeting programmatic needs
- We need to request funding (ROM - Opportunity) to build a database that will track non-compliant STIGs/ACAS results (their justifications and drivers) and EOL/S SW (whether in SPLIT or our own DB)
- Cyber DB will help us to better inform our Cyber Score Card and drive future Cyber Cases
- Create and update provisioning Chef scripts to harden systems based on DISA STIGs and best practices
- Support projects aimed at improving program’s Cyber posture/hygiene
- Utilize Static Code Analysis (SCA) to align with DevSecOps best practices
- Research, test, and integrate security patches and updates into the SBIRS systems (Linux and Windows)
- Cyber Ops will research necessary patches and understand technical solution/correct implementation. Cyber SA is expected to push patches on a pre-determined schedule/as necessary
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to evaluate and analyze system architecture and security design
- Research security solutions for operational and lab assets to meet mission objectives
- Support peer reviews of policies and engineering documentation as they relate to the design of new mission capabilities
- Support working group meetings with internal/external stakeholders, as well as weekly briefs with senior leadership
- Analyze and assess risks and vulnerabilities to determine appropriate remediations and mitigations
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
- Hands on experience with database development and/or management
- Knowledge of at least one object-oriented scripting/programming language (e.g., Ruby, Python)
- Knowledge of at least one command line/scripting language (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic networking experience/knowledge
- Security+ certification or equivalent IAT II certification, or willing to obtain within first 6 months
- A curious mind, willing to take on dynamic and complex technical challenges with a problem-solving attitude
