Turning Leaf is a non-profit, charitable organization that provides person-centered, crisis and treatment services to low and high-risk vulnerable and marginalized individuals living with mental illness and intellectual challenge in our community. Turning Leaf’s support is customized to every individual’s needs and risk level. We offer crisis-intervention and treatment services, community support, day program services, residential support (including emergency housing, 24-hour homes, cluster housing, and home share), a harm reduction program, clinical services, indigenous services and more.

JOB SUMMARY
The IT Analyst is a full‑time position within the agency’s technology team, reporting directly to the Manager, IT Operations. This role plays a critical part in supporting, administering, and securing the organization’s technology environment across multiple locations. As an intermediate‑level technical position, the IT Analyst provides hands‑on support in key areas including end‑user assistance, device and workstation management, cloud and systems administration, and participation in cybersecurity initiatives.
The role is responsible for delivering responsive, user‑focused technical support while contributing to the stability, security, and continuous improvement of the agency’s IT systems. Core responsibilities include administering Microsoft 365 and related cloud services, managing user accounts and access, maintaining endpoint configurations, and supporting cybersecurity controls such as patching, identity protection, and endpoint security. The IT Analyst works closely with other IT staff to monitor systems, address vulnerabilities, and respond to technology and security incidents in alignment with organizational policies and best practices.
Working within a small, collaborative IT team offers the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful work, broaden technical skills, and directly influence system improvements. As part of a nonprofit organization, the IT Analyst contributes to technology that supports frontline staff and positively impacts the individuals and communities we serve, making the role both technically engaging and purpose‑driven.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- 18 years of age or older

- Minimum 1-3 years of related work experience
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Clear Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, Adult Abuse Registry, and Child Abuse Registry (no older than three months).
- Three employment references.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Strong digital literacy and comfort with cloud‑based technologies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

- Postsecondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant experience.
- Industry‑recognized IT or security certifications, such as:
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, or Enterprise Administrator)
- CompTIA certifications (e.g., A+, Network+, Security+)
- Other relevant certifications in cloud administration, endpoint management, cloud administration, or cybersecurity
- Ongoing professional development related to cloud technologies, endpoint security, or IT service management.
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIRES
End-User Support and Technical Troubleshooting
The IT Analyst provides frontline technical support to staff across multiple locations, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and connectivity issues. This includes diagnosing workstation problems, supporting mobile devices and peripherals, and assisting users with Microsoft 365 applications and cloud services. The role serves as a primary point of contact for technical inquiries, delivering clear, user‑friendly guidance and maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Device, Endpoint, and Cloud Administration
This role administers and maintains the Agency’s technology environment, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure services, Intune, and Microsoft Defender. Responsibilities include configuring and deploying devices, managing user accounts and access, enforcing security and compliance policies, and monitoring system health. The IT Analyst ensures secure, reliable operation of devices and cloud services through consistent lifecycle management and adherence to organizational standards.
Cybersecurity, System Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
The IT Analyst supports the Agency’s cybersecurity posture by monitoring alerts, applying patches, maintaining endpoint protection, and responding to potential security incidents. The role collaborates with internal teams and vendors to resolve complex issues, contributes to IT documentation and ITSM processes, and identifies opportunities to enhance system reliability and user experience. Ongoing communication with stakeholders ensures that technology solutions align with operational needs and support the Agency’s mission.
