Job Overview / Purpose
The Senior Information Security Analyst is responsible to support the day to day activities of the information security program with primary focus on designing, evaluating and maintaining threat detection solutions, respond to alerts and provide security engineering expertise support for the enterprise. As a senior member of the information security team, the incumbent will also lead security assessments that include penetration testing, application security, network security and continuous vulnerability assessments.
Additionally, this role is responsible to manage and coordinate activities with external security partner(s) including special projects.
Key Accountabilities
- Primary responsibility for day-to-day operations and monitoring of security solutions
- Respond to security incident alerts and provide investigations support
- Maintain continuous vulnerability management program
- Provide engineering support for security solutions
- Manage and support external penetration tests and remediation plans
- Conduct periodic security assessments on critical systems and applications
- Review security architecture design of technology systems for new deployments
- Manage day to day operational activity with security partner(s)
Qualifications
Education:
- University/College degree in Computer Science
- Certificate in (or working towards) information security (CISSP, CISA, CSIM, CRISC)
Skills & Abilities:
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a information security function
- Experience in information security risk and controls frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27K, CIS)
- Knowledge and experience with Palo Alto Cortex, Cisco Umbrella and CES, Manage Engine products is an asset
- Expert knowledge in Microsoft Windows, Azure and M365 is a must
- Advanced knowledge of firewall concepts of Firewalls, VPNs and networking is an asset
- Experience with Palo Alto NGFW, Cisco, Aruba is a nice to have
- Advanced experience in vulnerability management program including scanning solutions (preferably Rapid7)
- Understanding of Active Directory, ADFS, is a must including privileged access management concepts.
- Knowledge of security event logs, log collection and SIEM is a desired skill
- Firm commitment to staying informed and abreast of emerging risks, industry trends etc is a requirement
- Excellent customer service skills, and ability to interface with employees at all levels including executives.
- Ability to work independently to execute new initiatives
