We are seeking an outstanding Security Operations & Architecture Associate for one our premier clients in the financial services industry. In this role you will develop zero-trust cloud architectures and evaluating new critical risk-based security capabilities for data protection, authentication, and software both on-premises and in the public cloud. You will be a key contributor to high impact, long-term decisions around design, development, and deployment of security capabilities, including implementation of security services like zero-trust, data loss prevention (DLP), encryption, SSO, authentication, authorization, and third-party risk/due-diligence. You will collaborate with a small, high-performing team to develop reference architectures, road maps, and repeatable processes with the goal of securing the ongoing modernization of our client’s computing environment.
The goals and responsibilities for this role are as follows:
- Partner with information security, physical security, risk, business, and IT support teams to communicate and collaborate on cybersecurity strategies, standards, and direction.
- Provide threat & vulnerability analysis, Investigate & Respond to incidents, document, and report findings
- Contribute to the evolution of the security architecture strategy, with immediate need for zero-trust architectures and data-loss (DLP) prevention solutions.
- Partner with senior security architects to identify and mitigate security risks as needed.
- Review existing security architecture, identify design gaps, and recommend security enhancements.
- Analyze and respond to previously undisclosed software and hardware vulnerabilities, update and tune security tools as needed to increase alert fidelity.
- Stay abreast of current and emerging security threats and technologies to improve overall security design while mitigating new threats.
- Ensure alignment between security architecture frameworks and standards and overall business strategy.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field along with relevant certifications
- 3-5+ years’ experience working with security technologies and standards (IAM, DLP, Security Operation Centers, Threat Analysis, SSO)
- 2+ years’ experience working in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP)
- Experience providing architectural direction to project development and technical teams
- Demonstrated technical expertise in existing security and IT systems, and an ability to keep pace with changing security and IT technologies
- Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on the ability to effectively influence others
- A team-focused mentality with the proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of related IT/cloud security experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience using Architecture Methodology (The Open Group Architecture Framework TOGAF)
