In this role, you will seek new business opportunities by performing market research and analysis, and contacting and developing relationships with potential clients in the mining and energy industries. This is a remote-friendly position with travel required to attend tradeshows, conferences, and site visits. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers throughout the sales cycle, from first contact to closing the deal. You will also ensure proper after-sales service. Ultimately, your role will be to help us grow our customer base and contribute to our long-term business growth. Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and analysis using industry knowledge
- Identify prospects, set appointments, and qualify potential clients
- Connect with potential clients by leveraging existing networks and relationships, and through both warm and cold outreach
- Build long-lasting relationships with clients, built on trust
- Identify client needs and provide value-add solutions
- Representing our company at industry tradeshows and conferences
- Conduct site visits as needed to build relationships and present materials to prospective clients
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration with Peter Lucas' Leadership team to share best practices and support a cohesive sales approach
Requirements
- Experience in the mining or energy industry
- 4+ years of experience
- An engineering or technical degree is considered an asset
- Experience with CRM software
- Familiarity with MS Office suite
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Proven work experience in Business Development, Sales, or Engineering
