The Position:
The position involves providing support and maintenance of corporate infrastructure as well as ongoing maintenance and support of our online commercial service offerings.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and fault identification
- Physical hardware/server maintenance
- Virus definition / quarantine maintenance
- Interacting with and supporting Gatekeeper employees and customers
- Working closely with the product development team
- Participate in launch / first customer implementation of new products and systems
- Document and maintenance of network infrastructure and design
- CyberSecurity / Network Security / Policy maintenance
- Configure, monitor and maintain servers in both a remote colocation centre and on-site
- Provide desktop support and other duties as required
Qualifications/Experience:
· 6+ years of experience in IT and system administration , with a strong focus on Servers and Virtualization
· Microsoft MCSE or A+ certification, VMWare Certified Professional, Cisco Certified Network Associate or equivalent
· Detailed knowledge of networking systems, protocols etc.
· Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision and to tight deadlines.
· Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
· Proficient with standard Microsoft Office tools; Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
· Well organized and detail oriented
· Hands on and able to “roll up your sleeves” and “get dirty”
· Fluent English communications skills; able to clearly articulate thoughts, concepts, issues and proposals.
Experience:
· Experience with networking protocols and infrastructure, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, UDP, Firewalls and Content Filters, under both Windows and Linux
· Experience with LDAP, Active Directory and EntraID
· Experience with cloud services such as AWS and Office365
· Experience with Windows Domain Controllers and Linux Name servers
· Experience with network packet sniffing tools such as Wire Shark
· Experience web protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, TLS and RTSP
· Microsoft Windows Server 2019, 2022 and 2025
· Microsoft Windows 10 and 11
· Debian Linux 9, 10, 11 and 12
· RedHat Enterprise Linux 9 and 10
· Experience with VMWare ESXi and with Microsoft Hyper-V
· Experience with Ubiquiti Access Points, Switches, and Gateways
· Experience with Fortinet Switches and Gateways
· Experience with Cradlepoint Gateways
· Experience with VLANs, Policy based routing, Load Balancing, and other switch/gateway/firewall configurations
· Experience with configuring and securing Wi-Fi Access Points, Routers, Bridges and Repeaters
· Experience with Veeam back-up and replication solutions on both Windows and Linux, under both VMWare ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V
· Experience with MySQL from an administrative perspective to be able to run backups, restores, design hot backups and failover schemes
· Office 365 administration
· Experience installing, managing and maintaining Server SSL certificates for both Windows and Linux
· Experience with remote network/system monitoring tools
Other Must Haves Include:
- Previous experience in a corporate network environment with a valid passport, driver license and ability to travel to the US and in Canada.
- Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office tools; Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
Non-technical Competencies:
Ideally you will have excellent team player, interpersonal and written communication skills, be a self-starter, well organized, detail oriented and able to work with minimal supervision and to tight deadlines. Key to success in this role will be the ability to behands on, think analytically and problem solve effectively.

Salary range:
$80,000.00 to $100,000.00 depending on experience
