Who We Need
Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, we are looking for a Compliance Analyst to join our team. You will collaborate across teams and with the new acquisition, building relationships and acting as a critical point of communication. You will research, update, advise and train, ensuring we are up-to-date with requirements and disseminating all necessary information on a timely basis.

What you will do:
- Research. You will collect information and analyze applicable legislative and regulatory actions concerning insurance products, ancillary products, field operations and home office administration.
- Manage documentation. You will maintain and update compliance policies and procedures and other related documentation. You will organize documentation for regulatory, internal audit and other reviews and examinations and assist with the arrangements for such examinations, audits and reviews. You will manage the Regulatory Compliance Department’s files and records.
- Share knowledge. You will educate and inform the business units about compliance requirements, including legislative and business practices. You will ensure communications and bulletins issued by the Regulatory Compliance Department reach the intended audience in a timely manner, including quarterly legislative and regulatory updates for all applicable entities. You will manage the development and delivery of compliance training programs.
- Report. You will track project plans for the implementation of legislative requirements and regulatory changes and work with the various departments to ensure that implementation plans are being met. You will conduct quarterly regulatory compliance self-assessments for the Regulatory Compliance Department and prepare formal and informal compliance reports and other communications to the business units on a regular and ad hoc basis.
- Collaborate. You will assist business units in the development and implementation of technological tools to improve current processes. You will act as administrator for the annual regulatory compliance management attestation process for all applicable entities, including coordinating with management and the service provider, tracking completion, working with business units to resolve any gaps that have been identified and documenting them accordingly.
What You Bring
- The education and experience. You have a university degree and in-depth experience in legislative and corporate compliance management in the insurance industry (i.e., AODA, privacy, licensing, operations/distribution, CASL, PCI). You are proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and have the ability to quickly learn new technology.
- The interpersonal skills. You have superior communication skills and an appreciation for diverse backgrounds, experiences, and approaches. You can build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all levels. You thrive in a high-performance culture, understanding the reliance others have on your output. French/English bilingualism is considered an asset.
- The accountability. You work with a sense of ownership in accordance with established priorities. You are a critical thinker with a growth mindset, continuously seeking new information. You have exceptional analytical skills with an ability to focus on the big picture without losing the details. You are meticulous and resourceful and can prioritize expectations and deliverables to maintain high-quality standards while meeting urgent deadlines.
