The
Jr. Cyber Security Systems Analyst will be a part of a cutting-edge cybersecurity project that will ultimately make a huge impact on the security of the DoD / Intel Community.
Daily Tasks Could Include
- System engineering with networking and/or cybersecurity focus
- Applying the Risk Management Framework
- Responsible for documentation review, system design documentation, and understand of System Engineering lifecycle and requirements review.
- Gathering information system security requirements, designing system architecture, developing and implementing security designs, and assessing the effectiveness of security solutions against present and projected threats.
- Analyze, interpret, and evaluate design documentation and produce formal and informal reports that clearly articulate the results of a customers solution specification or solution implementation review.
- Develop functional, operational, or user requirements, and reference architectures and technical patterns of solution designs
- Knowledge of system vulnerabilities (full stack from network to platform) and potential mitigation protocols or processes, "best case scenario" solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 Years of Cyber Systems Engineering
- Engineering analysis and reporting experience in / with the DoD / IC
- Experience with full system engineering lifecycle; breakdown systems into components and assessing vulnerabilities. Experience gathering and communication requirements needs with external customers
- Experience with RMF (NIST 800-53/37) and prioritizing risks/vulnerabilities to DoD Systems
- Active clearance with polygraph
Desired Qualifications
- Cybersecurity-relevant analysis experience (basic host and/or network analysis experience)
- Cybersecurity certification (ex: Sec+, CISSP, Net + etc)
- Familiarity with Space or Weapons system development, sustainment, and security operations
- Experience with Cybersecurity Assessment a plus.
- Experience in computer network defense, software, and standards used across DoD would be beneficial
- Experience in reducing risk to DoD systems, fixing systems of highest importance, hardening systems in development, and crypto resiliency.
