Miami Dade College, Kendall Campus is now accepting applications for
Senior Software Engineer. The Senior Software Engineer analyzes, designs, and implements computations and processes necessary for computer solutions. Develops and maintains assigned information systems to ensure efficient systems integration and operation. May act as a technology resource for other software engineers.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Designs computer-based data processing systems
- Develops logic procedures to provide more efficient machine operations
- Develops common operations which can be reused
- Codes, debugs, tests, and documents programs
- Works very closely with the Lead Software Engineer for compliance and project specifications
- Follows established coding and documentation standards
- Designs and suggests new coding standards and optimum methods of problem solving
- Develops a variety of integration techniques
- Performs data analysis and generates reports
- May lead the design and implementation of certain projects and serve as resource for other software engineers
Requirements
Six (6) years of progressive experience in systems analysis and programming
- Strong working knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts of computer programming
- Strong working knowledge of industry information technology and impact on processes
- Strong working knowledge creating and consuming Web Services
- Strong working knowledge of database development using Microsoft SQL
- Strong working knowledge of computer programming applications or systems programming techniques using ASP.Net/VB.Net
