The Cybersecurity Engineer, working with the IT Manager and other Technical Leads, will design, develop, support, and implement internal security solutions
Responsibilities

Design and implement network solutions that increase the security of the network footprint

Identify and analyze potential threat activity targeting client networks via monitoring systems, alerts, vulnerabilities, and network traffic and create plans to remediate or mitigate

Continue to evolve the vulnerability management program, monitor systems for vulnerabilities and address them based on criticality

Manage and monitor SOC (Arctic Wolf) and other vendor relationship

Harden the configuration of devices and networks utilizing best practices with minimal interruption.

Conduct security event monitoring, advanced analytics, and response activities

Respond to and resolve or escalate security and networking incidents.

Understands and can execute networking strategy and tools.

Observe the utilization of the technology or tool to determine improvements in its usage.

Take initiative to determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operation and the environment will affect outcomes, the types of tools and equipment needed to perform task.

Understand and implement advanced analytics and countermeasures to protect critical assets from hostile adversaries

Create and share unique ways to solve challenges with others.

Report unresolved security exposures, misuse of resources, and noncompliance situations using defined escalation processes.

Develop and maintain documentation for security systems and procedures.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Technology, IT or Computer Engineering/Computer Science
- 5+ years of experience working for an MSP
- 2+ years of experience working for a SOC a strong asset

Highly Organized
-
Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical clients and internal team members

Preferred: Two or more of the following industry certifications: Security+, Network+, CCNA, CCNP
