Senior Software Engineer
About the job:
- Solve real world problems relevant to the Intel Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) using a combination of FOSS/GOTS/COTS software and hardware.
- Contribute to all aspects of project software development lifecycle from research, prototyping solutions to assess feasibility, integration with external software systems, development, and product deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, prototype, test, and help deploy software solutions that utilize modern neural network (NN) models and algorithms
- Provide data curation and cleansing software solutions to support NN training and tuning
- Working within a Python software baseline
- Support Agile project planning, reporting, and execution
- Research relevant software technologies, frameworks, best-practices, software design pattern, and tools
- Provide design ideas for adapting or enhance existing program capabilities or development of new program capabilities
About you:
- 4+ years of experience working with Python
- Familiarity writing Python unit tests
- Familiarity with creating and interfacing with RESTful API’s in Python
- Experience developing software in a Unix/Linux environment
- Experience with Git and Gitlab
- Experience with microservice architectures within a Docker containerized environment
- Experience with the software development lifecycle
- Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent technical discipline
- Minimum ten (10) years of professional software development experience
- Must the have ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI U.S. Government security clearance. United States citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Docker
- Familiarity with image processing techniques
- Experience with network technologies such as HTTP and REST
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SSBI
- Master’s degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent technical discipline
Salary Range: $145,000 - $218,000
