Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Network Administrator to join our team and play a key role in implementing and supporting secure, high-performing network environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of project work and hands-on operations, with the opportunity to work across a variety of client environments and technologies.
You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable network solutions that support business needs and drive continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Implement network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless environments
- Configure and deploy network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls
- Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and new deployments
- Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity to ensure optimal operation
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including escalations, with a focus on root cause analysis
- Maintain uptime and reliability in line with service expectations
- Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewalls and access management
- Support vulnerability remediation and patching activities
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and configurations
- Identify opportunities to improve network performance, scalability, and efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure and systems initiatives
- Provide technical guidance and clear communication on network-related issues and solutions
Skills And Knowledge
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching)
- Experience with network hardware and firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar)
- Knowledge of network monitoring and diagnostic tools
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of network security principles and best practices
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Education And Experience
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3-5+ years of experience in network engineering or a similar role
- Experience designing and supporting enterprise network environments
- Experience with cloud networking (e.g., Azure, AWS) is considered an asset
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) are preferred
Compensation And Additional Perks
- Competitive Compensation based on skill set and experience can range between $80,000 and $100,000 per year
