Position and Responsibilities
Cameco is looking for a student who is passionate about IT security to work with a group of talented and dedicated individuals to ensure our global IT systems are secure and controlled. As a member of this team you will play a critical role in contributing to the success of the business technology services (BTS) department and their goal to provide technological solutions that maximize business value while minimizing risk. You will be part of a team that implements the information security program, promotes IT security awareness, investigates IT security incidents, audits minimum security configuration settings and monitors the corporation’s information systems and environment for incidents relating to non-authorized use of privilege or external intrusion attempts.
Your responsibilities include supporting security processes such as security incident response and participating in security-related projects. Planned projects for 2023 include improving cloud security architecture.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
- Currently enrolled in the University of Saskatchewan Computer Science Internship Program
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in computer science
- Available for a 12 month term beginning in May 2023
- Excellent teamwork and customer service skills
