The Technical Analyst - Cybersecurity position is responsible for helping develop and maintain the cost-effective security operations of the hospital. Support the organizational initiatives and strategic goals through the delivery of reliable and efficient IT security policies, processes and controls; and technology solutions; align with security best practices and standards (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements (e.g. HIPAA, PHIPA, PIPEDA, etc.). Provide security and privacy knowledge, analysis, and risk management. Responsible for handling IT security events, requests, and escalations. Collaborate with stakeholders, internal team, vendors and external security teams (security service providers, Local Delivery Group (LDG), etc.) to help improve the hospital’s cybersecurity and privacy posture.
Education
- IT related degree or diploma with IT Security certification (e.g CompTIA Security+, SSCP, GSEC, etc.)
- ITIL Certified
Experience
- Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in IT security field.
- Knowledge of security principles, tools, and standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Hands-on experience with security platforms, vulnerability scanners, and security protection tools
- Hands-on experience with access control, identify management, network security fundamentals, threat
detection and response and risk management practices.
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
