The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about the financial business, have at least five years' experience in the cyber security field, and have a successful track record. The Cyber Security Analyst in this position will collaborate closely with the Cyber Security Lead and oversee supporting various initiatives and keeping an eye on the security stack. In addition to helping with audits or general risk reporting, the role will also involve risk reporting and governance within the Security domain. You will utilize your top-notch technical skills to assist in the creation and application of Cyber Security protocols to support prevailing policies, and perform risk analyses, aid with risk reporting, and support compliance evaluations. Under the direction of the Cyber Security Lead, you will assist with the implementation and management of various Cyber Security projects and initiatives, such as system security, vulnerability management, and identity and access management. You will also regularly assess the efficacy and reach of security tools including Endpoint Protection, IPS/IDS, EDR, SIEM, and other security solutions, and take the appropriate steps to rectify any deterioration in reach or efficacy. - Four or more years of experience in the field of cyber security.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cyber security concepts and procedures.
- Knowledge in vulnerability management, incident response, and network and system security is a plus.
- Understanding of industry norms and guidelines (such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, and OSFI).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- The capacity to function both alone and together.
- The capacity to prioritize tasks and effectively manage time, especially when faced with a heavy workload, in order to maintain productivity and produce high-quality results.
- A bachelor's degree in a related discipline is recommended, but not necessary, if the applicant has the necessary experience, credentials, and a record of accomplishment.
- Credentials like CEH, CISSP, CISM, and CISA are highly desired.
