Canadian Business College is looking for an enthusiastic, creative and dedicated instructor who has strong communication and interpersonal skills to teach the Cybersecurity program. The instructor will be required to teach Cybersecurity theory and practical.
Responsibilities Include: Conduct lectures and assist students in a variety of ways through labs and assignments. Proctor tests for all modules.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must have knowledge and hands on experience in the following:
IT System:
- Deep understanding of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Knowledge of system configurations, security best practices, and device management.
- Expertise in network infrastructure, design, and implementation.
- Hands-on experience with routing, switching, and network security.
- Operation System: Windows and Linux
- Proficiency in operating systems, command-line interface, and scripting.
- Understanding of foundational cybersecurity principles, threats, and vulnerabilities
- Practical knowledge of risk management, encryption, and access control.
- Ability to implement security protocols and conduct incident response.
Cloud: AWS, Azure and Google Cloud
- Ability to work with cloud security, virtualization, and storage solutions under IAAS, PAAS, SAAS.
Cybersecurity:
- Knowledge of security automation and incident response methodologies.
- Ability to conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Strong skills in threat detection, analysis, and security monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with penetration testing tools and methodologies.
Additional Certifications & Competencies
- Must have relevant CompTIA certifications (e.g., A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, Cloud+, CySA+, Pentest+, Project+).
Qualifications:
-A bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent IT industry certifications
-3-5 years’ experience teaching range of IT concepts, practices, and methodologies
-CompTIA certification or similar education or industry experience
-Membership in CompTIA Instructor Network

Days and Times: Monday- Friday: 9:00AM-2:00 PM (Evening availability a plus)
Remote teaching - may change in the future to hybrid
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $33.00-$37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week
