PURPOSE
The IT/Facilities Coordinator provides general and in-depth technical guidance, assistance, and maintenance support to end users on diverse software applications, operating and hardware systems. This position partners with the site leader for such things as office maintenance, construction projects, as well as equipment and furniture requirements. The individual holding this position ensures continued support of the company’s infrastructure and desktop applications as well as the delivery of project initiatives which support infrastructure improvements and growth. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Initial point of contact for all computer and system related concerns from employees
- Install and configure computer systems and applications
- Optimize physical space utilization in production and training environments
- Partner with stakeholders when IT and Facilities equipment requires assembly
- Manage IT inventory outlined by policy
- Maintains a schedule system for cleaning, repair, inventory and maintenance of furniture and equipment related to IT
- Interacts regularly with Site Manager to ensure IT and Facilities needs are met
- Ensure site leadership team is kept abreast of all ongoing IT and Facilities projects
- Assist in overseeing activities of contractors, vendor personnel and suppliers (IT, Power, Security)
- Organizes emergency procedures and ensures that employees are always provided with a safe work environment
- Ensures building security systems are in working order and maintained
- Responds appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise
- Travel within the province when necessary to support other Cloud5 locations

Qualifications
- Knowledge of computer software, applications, hardware, networking & communication
- Extensive experience working with different operating systems including Windows and Mac OS
- Strong knowledge of Internet networking technologies (TCP/IP, Routers, Firewalls, Web Servers etc)
- Ability to determine computer problems and to coordinate and install hardware and/or software solutions both on site and remotely
- Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation
- Ability to communicate technical guidance and solutions effectively to resolve concerns
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
- Sound understanding of fundamentals and best practices relative to IT Security
- Ability to rapidly establish a good working relationship with employees and clients
