Project Summary
We are currently hiring multiple Network Administrator for testing and evaluation centres in Lasalle, QC, Halifax, NS, and Victoria, BC.
The centre provides independent and expert test and evaluation in the following areas Information and Communication Systems (ICS), Marine Systems (MS), Combat and Control Systems (CCS), & Testing and Infrastructure Support (TIS).
Responsibilities
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of a business- or mission-critical computer network
- Monitoring and management of the operations of a business- or mission-critical computer network
- Monitoring and management of the security and defence of a business- or mission-critical computer network
- Configuration and Maintenance of Computer Networks
- Deployment, Configuration, Patching and Upgrade of switching and routing technologies
- Management of Network Security Tools, including Firewalls, Access Control Lists, Anti-Virus Tools and Intrusion Detection Systems
- Troubleshooting and Resolution of Network Connectivity and Performance Issues;
- Monitoring and Optimization of Network Speed and Availability
- Installation, Configuration and Maintenance of Processing, Storage, Networking, End User and Peripheral Equipment, including Virtualization Technologies
- Deployment, Configuration, Patching and Upgrade of Network Software, such as Enterprise Anti-Virus or Diagnostic Programs
- Deployment, Configuration, Patching and Upgrade of Server-side Core Software, including but not limited to Windows Server, SQL Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SharePoint
- Implementation and Maintenance of Backup and Restoration Systems for Mission-Critical Network Servers
Mandatory Requirements
- Must currently hold or be eligible for a Secret (Level II) Clearance with the Government of Canada
- Either A, B, C or D
- A
- Six (6) months of work experience in administering Networking Technologies and protocols within the last three (3) years, AND,
- University undergraduate degree in computer engineering or computer science
- B
- One (1) year of work experience administering Networking Technologies and protocols within the last five (5) years, AND,
- Two (2) year College level certificate in computer science or equivalent
- C
- One (1) year of work experience in administering Networking Technologies and protocols within the last three (3) years, AND,
- Successful completion of an IM/IT course with a minimum of six hundred (600) hours of instruction and assignments
- D
- Three (3) years of work experience in administering Networking Technologies and protocols within the last five (5) years
