Software Security Architect
Redis is looking for a Software Security Architect to build and lead a new security architecture team within the R&D engineering organization. As a Security Architect, you will work with the different engineering teams and help them build security into the company’s core products.
Our ideal candidate is a strong individual with both significant software development and cybersecurity experience. You understand the challenges of large scale software development, have the right cybersecurity mindset and passion to apply all of that in order to empower engineering teams to build more secure products. You can work as an individual contributor and also form and lead a small group of experts.
This is a senior position with the charter to drive the entire R&D organization’s security posture.
What You Will Do
- Be part of design activities and work with teams to identify and address security concerns.
- Work with testing and automation teams to build security testing into the core product development cycle.
- Work with product management on driving the product’s security roadmap.
- Create and lead developer security awareness training programs.
- Create and lead product security testing programs.
- Attend Industry events e.g. Black Hat
- Travel to Redis R&D sites around the globe to build relationships and educate developers
What You Will Need To Have
- At least 10 years of software development experience.
- At least 5 years of experience as a software development manager, tech lead, or architect.
- At least 5 years of cybersecurity experience.
Extra Great If You Have
- CISSP, GIAC, or other relevant certification.
- Experience as a security researcher.
- Experience in security training.
- Experience certifying software and systems for FIPS, EAL, NIAP, FedRAMP, PCI, etc.
