About you:
You are a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader with experience managing and leading teams. You are a strategic thinker who enjoys formulating strategies and business plans to reach long-term objectives. You have in depth experience with developing, maintaining and managing security strategies, programs and requirements.
About you / qualifications:
- 15+ years of security experience
- 7+ years of people management experience leading and developing a team
- Experience in the implementation, support and operation of security technologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field
- Demonstrated understanding of security requirements for PCI, data privacy laws, etc.
- Knowledge of risk assessment procedures and policy formation
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
About the day-to-day:
- Own and oversee security, infrastructure and network systems
- Monitor, maintain and support on-prem/data centre infrastructure and architecture
- Manage employees and oversee the day-to-day activities of the team
- Oversee the configuration and support of security tools, architecture, networks, firewall and VPN
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies on the team
- Ensure frameworks are PCI compliant, work with auditors and consultants on security audits and risk requirements
- Develop, execute and oversee security policies and procedures and recommend changes where needed
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee direct reports and subordinates in the department, establishes duties and responsibilities and tracks performance
- Coaches and mentors direct reports to assist in their development and to further promote and foster a team environment
