We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) with 4 to 6 years of experience in hunting and acquiring net-new customers within the Canadian IT market. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and managed services. As a key player, you will drive revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and closing new business opportunities while working with top technology vendors and partners.
Roles and Responsibilities:
New Customer Acquisition: Proactively identify, target, and engage with net-new customers across various industries to drive IT solutions sales.
Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand market reach and achieve revenue goals.
Consultative Selling: Understand customer pain points and business needs, positioning solutions such as cloud, cybersecurity, networking, and managed services.
Partner & Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with OEMs, distributors, and technology partners (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, Fortinet, Dell, AWS, etc.) to deliver the best-fit solutions to customers.
Lead Generation & Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through cold calling, social selling, networking, and industry events.
Customer Relationship Management: Establish and nurture strong relationships with C-level executives, IT directors, and decision-makers to drive long-term partnerships.
Proposal & Deal Closing: Create compelling proposals, conduct presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals efficiently.
Market & Industry Research: Stay updated on IT trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies to enhance sales strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
4 to 6 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in an IT VAR/System Integrator environment.
Strong understanding of IT solutions, including cloud, cybersecurity, networking, and managed services.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, competitive market.
Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) for sales tracking and pipeline management.
Knowledge of the Canadian IT market and regulatory landscape is a plus.
