Job Summary:
The Security & Privacy Consultant applies knowledge and expertise to provide leadership in the development of a security model for the Digital Health's current and future clinical applications that supports legislation, clinician practice and patient confidentiality. The incumbent will work collaboratively with a number of individuals within and external to Saskatchewan Health Authority to ensure legislative and clinician requirements are met.
The Security & Privacy Consultant will lead policy development, compliance analysis and privacy education as it relates to the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The Consultant must demonstrate through personal commitment, support for the strategies, values, culture and beliefs of the SHA and the strategic and operating plans of the organization. The incumbent must support innovation and contribute to a positive working climate which is client centric.
Experience:
- Experience with health informatics is required.
- Preference to those with 5+ years' experience in a healthcare environment.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Baccalaureate Degree in Health Sciences (or equivalent degree and/or experience)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's license
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of First Nations and Metis history in Saskatchewan along with an understanding of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action
- Knowledge of the healthcare system in Saskatchewan
Other Information
- SHA and unions continue to work through scope discussions. There is potential some positions currently OOS may transition inscope in the future however it is unknown if this position will be impacted
- Travel within the province of Saskatchewan may be required
Additional Text:
- Baccalaureate Degree in Health Sciences, Informatics, Business Administration is preferred.
- Knowledge of information/data governance best practices and familiarity with The Health Information Protection Act would be an asset.
The incumbent will oversee the information governance policy and planning across information and data governance domains within Digital Health,
with an initial focus on privacy and security. As the successful candidate you will ensure the Information Governance model, framework and working practices are effective, efficient, and adhered to within the SHA. This includes planning, directing, coordinating, and supporting Information Governance efforts including risk and issue identification and providing solutions to mitigate or remediate such risk where possible. This position will be responsible for leading DH efforts pertaining to Data Sharing Agreements and/or Data Transfer Agreements by facilitating applicable discussions with legal, contracts and business partners from across the SHA and external partners where applicable.
