The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst position is categorized as a hybrid which means that the incumbent will be working with a variety of colleagues and partners to achieve business outcomes that require a mixed use of virtual and CTC campus presence. As a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst within Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT), you will be forefront of the cybersecurity incident response and investigations team mandated to address all network intrusions and cyber-attack investigations. This role includes collection and interpretation of information and events generated by internal security monitoring tools and third-party providers. Providing support to technical and confidential investigations, in order to contain, and eradicate potential incidents, limiting potential exposure, and allowing business to operate normally. What you’ll do As a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst, you are responsible for executing the Canadian Tire Corporation’s Incident Management process: Operate and drive incident response processes & documentation improvements across the domain, including event analysis, incident handling, malware analysis and forensics. Perform investigations, data acquisition, root cause analysis, and execute response activities on security incidents. Act as a Subject Matter Expert by developing and maturing tools & process to support incident investigations, harvesting and analysis. Perform proactive research to identify and characterize new emerging technologies trends, security methods, and threats based on relevant organizational context. Mentoring team members and imparting motivation, inspiration and confidence. Plan and test cybersecurity related tabletop exercises and participate in disaster recovery exercises. What you bring University degree or College diploma in technology or business-related discipline. 10+ years of IT Security background. Experience working in Security Operations Center (SOC) or Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) environment preferred. Experience in and strong knowledge of security, IT operations, risk governance and compliance. Experience with Endpoint Security, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Proxy Servers, Email Security and Log Aggregation Technology to conduct analysis for evidence of network penetrations and data theft. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical requirements for non-technical business partners and influence/persuade a different point of view. Ability to clearly and confidently communicate written and verbal recommendations, articulating risks and trade-offs. Excellent relationship management, strong teamwork, consulting, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional time management and self-management skills. Experience with frameworks and standards like NIST, ISO, PCI, MITRE’s ATT&CK and Cyber Kill-Chain, SANS, MITRE’s CAPEC. Experience with cloud technologies like AZURE, AWS and Google Cloud. Industry recognized certifications such as CISSP, CEH, ECIH, CCSE, CCSP, SANS would be an asset. Continuously update the security skills and knowledge. And stay up to date with the security trend.
