Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in reviewing and analyzing security-related events/alerts, assessing risk and priority.
- Maintain and update triage/response workbooks to streamline the investigative processes.
- Work with SIEM and other logging platforms to ingest new data sources, create/maintain dashboards, and use visualization techniques for log cross-correlation.
- Work with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools to investigate and remediate host-level threats.
- Participate in reviewing and analyzing Email system for risks, implementing preventative actions and containing risk(s) as required.
- Collaborate with the IT and CloudOps teams to ensure network-level and host-level security controls and practices are maintained.
- Promote and develop cloud & application security controls and practices as new technologies are deployed.
- Contribute and participate in the Security Incident Response Process, investigations and table-top exercises.
- Participate in the development of security operational metrics and reporting.
- Participate in change management process by conducting risk assessments.
- Conduct ongoing research and development of new security practices and controls.
- Actively remain updated with the latest security trends, technologies, vulnerability tracking and attacker techniques tactics and procedures.
- Manage and operate vulnerability management platform and process.
- Participate in external security audits.
Key Requirements:
Minimum Requirements
- Associate Diploma or Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, or related education.
- 5 - 7 years of experience as a security analyst, or similar.
- SSCP or CCSP level knowledge/experience (certification preferred).
- Independently motivated individual with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with email technologies and protective security controls.
- Hands on experience using various XDR tools.
- Working knowledge of security operations, troubleshooting and best practices.
- Exceptional abilities to troubleshoot and collaborate with others to resolve incidents.
- Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
- Works well in a team environment, with strong communication and inter-personal skills.
Preferred Requirements
- AWS knowledge
- Knowledge of NIST CSF, ISO 27001 frameworks
- Knowledge of OWAS ASVS standard
