Role Overview
As a Network Engineer, you will contribute to BGRS’ success by providing complex network solutions that include highly secure and dynamic networks on an enterprise basis. Analyzes business needs; designs, installs, and supports network solutions on one or multiple platforms in a LAN/WAN/MAN/VOIP or Web Architecture. Includes supporting LAN, WAN, and VoIP infrastructures at all branches. The Network Engineer provides high-level technical support for voice and data network systems, creates and maintains network documentation, maintains hardware and software standards, and works projects as needed in order to upgrade to new and/or improved communication equipment and procedures. The Network Engineer must be well-versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices, and network management systems. The Network Engineer serves as the next level of escalation of support for troubleshooting network usage and equipment issues.

If selected for an in-office position, you will work remotely while BGRS operates under mandatory telework.
What You'll Be Doing
- Implement, support, and maintain 24×7 network services serving as one of the highest levels of escalation for network and security issues.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and/or external vendors to plan, develop and support an efficient and cost-effective logical network topology
- Develop Network Translations planning documents-translations project impact assessments, translations standards, bulletins, test plans, processes, project plans to support various projects
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to drive network system improvement and automation initiatives.
- Make ongoing recommendations of network policies and standards.
- Act as SME responsible for capacity planning and configuration assessments for our routers, switches, network appliances, host, and other communication devices.
- Manage configurations and the deployment of equipment in compliance with established technology policies.
- Recommend technical solutions that will enhance performance, increase redundancy, and add flexibility to the existing infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and report of network performance issues.
- Maintain system and network availability and monitoring of services.
- Participate in rotating ‘on-call’ schedule with network team.
- Maintain the appropriate relationships with 3rd party vendors and evaluate vendor hardware, software, and communications products and to provide recommendations for purchases with our corporate objectives in mind.
- Demonstrated capability to achieve results under pressure and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Manages time effectively and according to priorities.
- Industry standards and best practices, and change management principles
- Skilled at technical documentation and results-driven on project implementation
- Be able to work flexible hours for emergency incidents and off hour changes
- Learn and adopt new technologies as an independent contributor and within the Network support team
What You Bring To BGRS
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or related disciplines e.g. Engineering.
- Relevant IT certification required – CCNA, CCNP or higher.
- Minimum 5 or more years of experience in a Cisco inter-networking environment.
- Hands-on experience implementing, supporting, and upgrading Cisco firewall, router, switch, wireless, Cisco ISE, and/or F5 Load-balancer.
- Exceptional skills/talent troubleshooting systems (Windows servers in enterprise environment) and LAN, WAN support and troubleshooting.
- Expert level Experience in firewalls, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA
- Experience in installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, DNS, DHCP.
- Experience in the architecture/design, development, and implementation of large-scale Wide Area Network (WAN) architectures including SDWAN
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting VPN issues on different types of IPSec endpoints including Cisco Firewalls, Cisco VPN Concentrators, and Cisco Routers.
- Experience working in multisite locations and VPN/MPLS technology
- Experience managing Cisco UCS FI
- Experience managing networks in virtual environments (vSphere, HyperV...)
- Hybrid Cloud Architectures; IaaS, Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure
- Load Balancing (F5, Cisco ACE, others), Wireless (Cisco, APs, Meraki)
- Encryption (MACsec, IPsec, SSL/TLS, DMVPN, WEP/WPA, etc.)
- Strong knowledge in dynamic and static routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, VRFs, PBB, MPLS, etc.
- Experience with designing and maintaining high availability and disaster recovery (COOP) solutions.
- Datacenter experience with global locations preferred.
- Network Profiling – strong expertise in assessing networks traffic for potential risks and vulnerability
- Experience with QoS and performance monitoring tools.
- System integration experience with large-scale network deployments and network services.
- Team player with good communications and interpersonal skills.

Other Information:
- Reliability status security clearance granted by CIISD, PSPC is required; the security clearance application will be facilitated via the BGRS Company Security Officer (CSO).
