BCLC’s two offices are located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Indian Band), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Peoples in Vancouver and the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc territory, situated within the Secwépemc Nation in Kamloops. Joining the Business Technology team at BCLC means you’ll be working with cutting-edge technology to help build a world-class entertainment company. This is an engaged, innovative, capable group of talented individuals working in digital enablement, product delivery services, technology platform enablement, enterprise services, integrity and operations. This enables us to execute the purchase and validation of lottery tickets at over 3500 lottery retailers, manage a complex network of 12,000 slot machines and electronic table games across the province and provide the backbone for BCLC’s eGaming platform, and much more.
We have offices in Kamloops and Vancouver and can also support 100% remote (from within British Columbia) for this position.
Job Summary
The Cyber Security Coordinator provides co-ordination of tasks and administrative support for the Cyber and Security department and program. Responsibilities include: task assignment and monitoring, workflow tracking and reporting, co-ordination of document gathering and communications, metrics compilation and reporting, and administrative support for the Information Security, Technical Compliance, and Payments Security and Compliance teams.
Key Accountabilities
- Supports the Information Security Assessment and associated risk management processes through intake, workflow, reporting and documentation. Co-ordinates document gathering for technical audit responses, PCI quarterly reporting and special projects.
- Develops and recommends techniques, processes and procedures to facilitate efficient and effective communication within the department and externally to key stakeholders, including PlayNow partners. Actively prioritizes and coordinates responses to external requests and negotiates and manages timelines and expectations in order to meet the department’s goals and objectives.
- Supports compliance reporting activities for the Technical Compliance team, both for vulnerability and technical gaming compliance. Co-ordinates reporting to BCLC PlayNow partners in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
- Monitors the IT Service Management queue, assigns tasks and tracks workflow.
- Manages access reviews for internal and external staff on a quarterly basis
- Compiles compliance metrics and produces reports showing trends and KPI’s for senior management and executive. Works with other internal stakeholders to capture compliance related data to produce reports for those departments’ products, initiative and programs.
- Liaises within all relevant BCLC divisions to support the Cyber Security Risk program.
- Supports the Cyber Security awareness and training activities including reporting on phishing and training compliance.
- Manages all Cyber cost centre transactions including purchase requisitions and purchase orders, creates Statements of Work (SOWs) and monitors budget commitments and contractual obligations. Escalates issues as appropriate.
- Organizes meetings and events, ensuring appropriate space is booked, technology is functioning, and that participants have relevant details and materials. Provides support and response to changing needs and priorities.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Post-secondary certification or diploma in business administration;
- 2-3 years of experience in an administrative support/co-ordination role;
- Experience working in a technology environment is considered an asset;
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Technical Requirements
- Excellent organization and planning skills and proven ability to manage changing and multiple priorities;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Solid problem solving and analytical thinking/innovation;
- Demonstrated ability to work within established deadlines and time constraints;
- Ability to use initiative and work independently;
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Proficiency in MS Office and M365 suite;
- A base understanding of security and compliance concepts.
