The Security Administrator is an integral part of the Hotel’s Security Department. Reporting to the Director of Security, the Security Administrator provides support to the Security team through command of the Security Office Access Control and CCTV systems as well as administrative and clerical duties relating to the day-to-day Security operations.
As well as carrying out their duties in an efficient and expedient manner, the candidate is expected to adhere to the department’s strict confidentiality policies. While this position is not a Security position, the holding of a valid Security License for the Province of Ontario is considered an asset for the applicant; the successful candidate will be assisted in acquiring same. The ideal candidate is self-motivated as well as comfortable working independently and as part of a team throughout the day. Strong multitasking skills with a strong, firm, and yet hospitable interpersonal approach when dealing with guests, employees, contractors and visitors (in person, over the phone or through email) are essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate would remain mindful of being the voice and representative to Four Seasons guests and approach all interactions as such.
This role presents itself as the face of a multi faceted command center in which decisions are being made; solutions are being sought; while tasks are being undertaken with initiative and foresight. While typically a fast paced environment, there includes slower times which must be recognized, prioritized and capitalized for full realization of what is required of this position.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for control and upkeep of Facility Access Programs
- Creation, issuance and documentation of Staff and Resident access credentials
- Responsible for the day-to-day business operation of the Security Office, including but not limited to, auditing and ordering of supplies, filing of paperwork and records, initiating Purchase Orders, etc.
- Tending and auditing of databases relating to access control.
- Creation or streamlining of existing electronic documents relating to departmental needs.
- Liaising with departments throughout the Complex to ensure best practices and policies are upheld.
- Identifying and signing in Contractors/Visitors to the Complex
- Recognizing malfunctions and placing service calls relating to Security systems
- Receiving, logging and preparing to ship out Lost Property.
- Receiving calls for Security from around the Complex and dispatching Security Agents
- Clerical and Administrative Duties relating to the Security Department.
Other Duties as assigned by Director and Assistant Director of Security
Preferred qualifications and skills
- Excellent command of the English (spoken and written)
- Excellent Communications skills
- Maintains a clean and clear working area and promotes a safe working environment.
- Maintains at least an Intermediate working knowledge of Office Applications required (specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Previous experience with Facility Control and CCTV programs preferred.
- Experience with Micros Opera an asset but not required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years working in an Office environment.
