Our client, one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada, has an immediate need for a Cybersecurity Project Coordinator. This is a contract position for six (6) months located in Vancouver, British Columbia. Chances of extension for the right candidate depending on the needs of the business.

Cybersecurity Project Coordinator in the role will be responsible for coordinating meetings using MS Outlook, document filing in SharePoint, data reconciliation using Excel, creating PPT and Word documents. As well as following up with stakeholders internally and externally to monitoring status of deliverables. Previous exposure to Cybersecurity projects is not mandatory but a "nice to have". Other coordination related tasks as needed.
Accountabilities

Perform day to day project coordination activities to support the project and/or program such as organizing meetings, collecting information for status reports, and writing meeting agendas and minutes to enable successful completion of projects safely, with quality, within budget, and on time.

Assist the project manager in performing financial tasks such as preparing accruals and forecasts by gathering the required financial information, monitoring budgets and actual spending, tracking forecast revisions, updating reports, and coordinating the forecasting development process to support the achievement of the project objectives.

Organize, upload to, and maintain document sharing sites, project and/or program materials such as IT Delivery Standard Practices (ITDSP) deliverables using document management systems to ensure easy retrieval, safeguarding, and version control.

Provide ongoing guidance and expertise to other project coordinators by researching, developing, presenting options, and taking appropriate action to solve basic technical issues and more complex administrative issues to contribute to the standardization of processes and continuous improvement of project coordination capabilities
Required

(7) years of directly related work experience in a complex IT project environment or equivalent.

Experience coordinating meetings using MS Outlook, document filing in SharePoint, data reconciliation using Excel, creating PPT and Word documents.

Experience following up with stakeholders across the organization and externally to monitor status of deliverables for Projects.

Exposure to Cybersecurity projects is not mandatory but a "nice to have"

Must be detail oriented and organized.

Education and Skills

College level program completion in Technology, Business, Communication, or related discipline

Good working knowledge of project management principles

Advanced skills in using computer applications such as SharePoint and MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Advanced skills in MS Excel

Good communication skills for professional environment, written and spoken
