staffing is currently working to find several Cyber Security Analysts. Our client values confidentiality, privacy and security of their business information in an ever-evolving world of cyber threat.
- Your primary role is to understand company IT infrastructure in detail, continuous monitoring, and evaluating threats that could potentially breach the network
- Collaborate with IT project teams, architects, administrators, and operational delivery partners to assess systems and applications, hardware, and software to provide security advice and recommendations for increased protection and detection capability during the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of company systems and platforms
- Manage investigations of security incidents and any violations of company information security policies. This includes documenting and tracking these incidents, along with interfacing with management, company committees, and external agencies, as necessary
- Provide training and awareness programs as required
- Track and understand emerging cyber security practices and standards by participating in educational opportunities, current professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
Requirements
- Knowledge of scripting using Phyton or Power Shell
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud and/or Google cloud platform (GCP) security controls
- Experience in using intrusion detection software—security information and event management (SIEM) products, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS)
- Understanding of DevOps to help ensure that applications are secure from the start
- 1 + years of industry experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar field is a strong asset
- Communication and collaboration skills, adaptability, critical thinking, and risk management
