Job Description

Some of the activities required in this role are to:

Participate in small to major design projects for oil & gas, utility and heavy industry, substation and generation clients

Provide engineering services and consulting work to the design of projects including perform calculations, prepare sketches and drawings, and determine costs and material quantities

Establish preliminary design, client needs analysis, reports, etc.

Developing governance, policies, procedures and security plans in all cyber security domains, i.e. Cyber Security Policies,
-
Cyber Incident Response Plans, Cyber Security Access Control Management, Remote Access Controls (multifactor authentication), Security Zoning, Configuration Management, Backup and Restore, GAP Analysis, Physical Security, and
-
Cybersecurity awareness & training plans.

Performing Cybersecurity Assessments, such as security vulnerability assessments or PEN testing.

Participate in on-site work.

Requirements

Diploma in relevant area
-
1 - 3 years of practical experience within a heavy industrial sector

Some knowledge of PLC, DCS, HMI, Instrumentation, VFD, MCC, and industrial IT

Control/telecommunications architecture
-
Knowledge of electrical drawings (schematic, wiring, and layout).
-
Experience with Windows operating system functionality (file system structure, registry keys, scheduled tasks, processes, services, memory management, data storage, etc.).
-
Experience performing hands-on field commissioning tasks (both green and brown field types).
-
Experience with common industrial telecommunication networks and devices such as managed switches, routers, firewalls, and cellular modems is an asset.

Excellent communication skills with high competency in English (both verbal and written)

Ability to travel and to do site work, if required
