As Part of Our Cybersecurity Team
CPA Ontario is currently in search of Senior Cybersecurity Analyst who will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining security technologies, analyzing threats and anomalies, conducting penetration testing while working to ensure the external and internal security posture across all systems and infrastructure (clouds, servers, networks). The ideal candidate will have a strong versatile background in cybersecurity as they will contribute to the broader cyber program and team, playing an integral role in the overall cybersecurity vision and strategy .
What You’ll Be Doing
Designing and implementing security measures and tooling to protect critical data and systems.
Monitoring and analysis of cybersecurity tools, alerts, incidents and performance to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Incident response activities related to security breaches or network issues ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
Collaboration with other IT and security teams to integrate and manage cybersecurity solutions with existing technology stack, infrastructure and frameworks.
Developing and implementation of policies and enforcing security policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Providing training and support to IT and end-users on varying SecOps initiatives and cybersecurity best practices. Mentoring junior security analysts to develop their skills and knowledge in cybersecurity.
Generating and analyzing security reports to measure the effectiveness of the cyber program, assisting with implementations and identifying areas for improvement.
Staying current with emerging trends and technologies in cybersecurity , recommending and implementing enhancements as needed while conducting regular assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities in the organizations posture and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
Who You Are
A post-secondary graduate in computer science, information security, digita l forensics or related field, with a strong understanding of IT Security concepts and best practices. Certification is considered an asset; GCIA, GCIH, OSCP, or CWAT are preferred.
Experienced in a Security Operations Centre (SOC) environment with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in varied cybersecurity domains including monitoring and detection, access and identity management, vulnerability management and beyond.
Skilled at project management and able to actively manage network security projects from inception to completion.
Accomplished with Zero Trust security models and their implementation in a SASE environment.
A problem-solver with an analytical approach to diagnosing and resolving complex network security issues.
An excellent communicator (verbal and written) with strong presentation, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
An excellent communicator with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Able to work efficiently and effectively as a team member, as well as independently.
Flexible and adaptable to changing technology and business needs while working in a dynamic environment where work outside of regular business hours may be required.
