We have an exciting opportunity for the right person. Are you a Business Systems Analyst with a strong technical focus, Big Data and Banking experience?
We are looking for you. You will be working with one of the top Canadian banks and have an integral role in their new data strategy.
Work you will do
- You will work directly with clients and team members to collect, analyze and document business requirements
- You will be a leader in translating business requirements into technical requirements
- You will write user stories in JIRA and document systems requirements in Confluence
- You will create SQL queries for data profiling
Your Skills:
- Strong skills in data mapping, analysis, profiling, and an understanding of end to end data flow, data modelling and data lineage
- Experienced working with SQL
- Experience working with complex business logic for ETL
- Experience with data elicitation
- Experienced with developing work flow, data flow, data model diagrams and process flow diagrams
- Familiar with developing reports such as BRD, SRD, DRS
- Experience with Big Data concepts, working with Hadoop, Hive, Netezza
- Experience with Azure cloud protocols and asset
Who you are:
- Prior work experience in a bank or financial services industry a strong asset
- Experience with AML / Fraud / Cyber Security a strong asset
- You are an independent worker
- An excellent communicator not afraid to speak up
- You have a proven ability to work creatively in a problem solving environment
- Stakeholder management experience, able to work with multiple stakeholders with varying demands and requirements
- You have the ability to dive into data
- You love working with a team
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
- Knowledge of customer and transactional business systems
