Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team
What You Can Expect In This Role
Reporting to the Team Lead, Cybersecurity and Compliance, the
Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the implementation, maintenance, design and monitoring of all the aspects of our Cybersecurity program, as well as assisting in the completion of project and risk assessments.
More Specifically, Here Are Some Of The Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor security systems for potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, breaches, and alerts in a timely manner performing root cause analysis and providing recommendations to mitigate future incidents.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize vulnerabilities in systems and applications.
- Collaborate with the DevOps and Sysadmin teams to ensure timely remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular security assessments and penetration tests.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Ensure company-wide adherence to security policies, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the compliance team to support internal and external audits, ensuring all security controls are in place.
- Participate in designing and conducting cybersecurity awareness training programs for employees.
- Provide guidance to staff on best practices for security, including email security, phishing awareness, and data protection.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all security incidents, remediation actions, and compliance efforts.
- Generate regular security status reports for management and stakeholders.
- Stay current with emerging security trends and technologies, recommending improvements to the cybersecurity program.
Here's The Profile We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, incident response, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of information security principles and practices.
- Familiarity with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, etc.
- Hands-on experience with incident management and risk mitigation.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong understanding of security frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC, NIST, ITGC/SOX, etc.).
- Bilingual (English and French).
