Title: Lab support Engineer
Our client, a leading global chemistry company across US, Canada, Asia and Europe, is going through a Digital Transformation. They are building a Digital Hub for the global business in Toronto city, therefore we are hiring multiple technology talents with ambition to join the digital hub
Your new role
- Analyzing and finding solutions to IT incidents in laboratories.
- Documenting incidents in the appropriate tool (Service Now) and document solutions in the team Wiki (confluence).
- Giving feedback to the affected users.
- Communicating with the lab support team and other global resolver teams.
- Installing PC’s & software, connecting instruments and PC’s to the network.
- Driving and managing small projects.
- Consulting users on digital solutions and on security measures in the lab environment.
What you'll need to succeed
- A degree in computer science or equivalent experience and/or education in Information Technology.
- Proven experience in IT Network & Cybersecurity, as well as PC Operating Systems (Windows/Linux).
- Understanding of Cybersecurity basic principles and segregated IT network concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a willingness to engage with customers and colleagues.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and capacity to grasp new concepts.
