Summary

The IT Administrator is accountable to deploy, monitor, maintain, develop, and upgrade all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, telephones, and software applications.

Responsibilities

· Develop an effective security and disaster recovery management plan and implement it.

· Develop and Implement cybersecurity strategies and policies.

· Managing access controls and user permissions to sensitive systems and data.

· Manage GPO, OU, identity (Office 365 & AD) to secure our environment.

· Configure, monitor, and optimize firewall rules to control network traffic and prevent unauthorized access.

· Remain current with the latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations are required, especially with respect to security, backups and disaster recovery.

· Manage Backups, and updates of systems and applications

· Troubleshooting: diagnosing, resolving complex technical issues affecting users, systems, and networks.

· Implementing solutions to prevent recurring issues.

· Provide Advanced Troubleshooting, in-depth analysis, and direct technical assistance to users

· Align IT Strategy with overall business objectives

· Identify and evaluate new technologies that can improve efficiency, productivity, and security

· Develop long-term IT roadmaps and budgets

· Vendor Management; negotiating contracts, and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met

· Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures and implement them, including providing written protocols and guidance to end-users.

· Perform server configuration and administration tasks, diligent monitoring and upgrades.

· Perform infrastructure (firewalls, switches, etc.) configuration and administration tasks, diligent monitoring of infrastructure and upgrades.

· Manage telecommunication infrastructure.

· Investigate, analyze, and resolve complex software and hardware problems; perform advanced hardware/software repairs, maintenance, and technical assistance.

· Knowledgeable with Epicor and provide the support and development required for continued operations.

· Implement effective methods to install and maintain desktop/laptop computer hardware, including computers, monitors, printers, internal cards, and other computer equipment.

· Organize network cables and use proper labeling

· Respond to after-hours system calls.

· Travel to Ward’s locations as needed to maintain IT infrastructure.

Requirements

3 years experience in administration of Windows Server 2016 and up
3 years experience with Veeam
MCSA or MCSE (preferred)
Proven experience with virtualization (preferred)
Experience as MS SQL Server, administrator, or developer (preferred)
2 years experience with SSRS development is considered an asset
Experience working or administering Epicor 10.2.xxx an asset
Experience configuring and deploying Microsoft 365 an asset
Experience configuring PBX’s an asset
Ability to establish priorities and meet firm deadlines
Proven understanding and experience of network infrastructure and Watchguard equipment
