The ideal candidate will plan and prioritize sales motions and activities with the goal of creating and closing upsell Revenue and Term Extension opportunities. This position is critical to the success of our company and ongoing growth and customer retention. This person should be a dynamic individual who can excel in strategic planning, execution, and sound business judgement; further, this person should be able to hit the ground running and engage customers to migrate them beyond initial purchase scope and to meet their revenue quota. It is important that this individual possess a “details matter” mindset with respect to updating and maintaining revenue opportunity optics along with adhering to Venminder’s defined sales process.

This is an excellent opportunity for a sales representative to step into a well-documented and disciplined sales process that has been driving Venminder’s industry leading success. Experience leading a consultative sales process is required.

Compensation

Base = $85K - $95K

Variable OTE = $95K

Bonus = $12K

$190K - $200K

About the opportunity

Collaborate with the Customer Service Managers (CSM) to grow and maintain a robust and evolving portfolio of hundreds of leads at any given time.
Take ownership of the leads and progress the leads to closure.
Maintain detailed and evolving 30/60/90/180/365-day plan.
Maintain appropriate sales development activity to ensure healthy pipeline management.
Proactively build relationships with all accounts to ensure success – be viewed as ‘trusted advisor’.
Use a consultative sales approach to position Venminder as their preferred TPRM vendor.
Strong collaboration and relationship building skills both internally and externally are a must.
Meticulous use of Salesforce CRM for opportunity management and reporting.
Manage all aspects of individual Revenue generation (from top of the funnel - lead generation - to new upsell revenue & term extension attainment).
Capable to self-conduct complex contract negotiations, but also to seek senior leader assistance as needed.
Deliver against forecast accuracy and dependability.
Partner with key internal stakeholders to deliver against business targets.
Engage with external resell partners to close cross-sell and up-sell revenue opportunities for continuous monitoring solutions ranging from cybersecurity, business health, ESG and privacy.
Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Success and Product Leaders to accelerate sales cycles and generate sales opportunities and extend ARR.
Represent Venminder with a “customer first” mentality within the local ecosystem of employees, customers, partners and other stakeholders.

What you'll do

Self-starter who is responsive, reliable and results oriented and ability to deliver a $0.75M+ revenue quota (measured by First Year Value).
Proven ability to create a pipeline and close upsell sales opportunities that have an average 3 month to 6-month pipeline.
Ability to acquire in-depth knowledge of a client’s business, identifying challenges and opportunities as well as how to position Venminder as a trusted Advisor status for third party risk solutions to match the prospects needs.
Proven ability to understand and effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders.
Proven ability to effectively communicate to prospects exclusively via phone, video and conference calls.
Experience in web-based tools for demonstrations to clients (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Chorus).
Demonstrates product and industry knowledge of the third-party risk management marketplace, trends and competitive intelligence.
Proven record of matching customers’ needs with solution.
Proven record of building and managing a sales pipeline including maintaining and progressing prospects targeted for future months.
Candidate must be a proven closer.
5+ years of experience in account management or new logo sales representing enterprise software, SaaS or FinTech solutions and selling managed/professional services a plus.
Experience in selling third party risk management and/or risk management solutions preferred.
Strong track record of success in exceeding revenue goals.
Consistent performance in the attainment of monthly and annual revenue goals.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
Detailed experience with sales planning and forecasting.
Ability to make or implement decisions at a fast and nimble pace.
Experience using CRM (Salesforce) to manage and forecast sales opportunities combined with strong analytical skills to identify trends and patterns.
