OPPORTUNITY:

HEABC has an opening for a Senior Manager, IT Security. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Senior Manager is responsible and accountable for providing leadership and management of an enterprise cybersecurity program ensuring the ongoing protection of HEABC information assets. As a member of the IMIT management and leadership team, the Senior Manager develops goals, objectives, strategies, and approaches to ensure alignment with the business needs of HEABC. This includes evaluating emerging security technologies in an effort to find appropriate solutions which provide better security, sustainability, and bring greater value to the organization.

Responsibilities Include:

Developing, implementing, maintaining, and sustaining of a comprehensive information security program encompassing:
- Staff education and awareness,
- Information security risk registries,
- Security Threat and Risk Assessments (STRAs),
- Security incident investigations and reporting,
- Compliance monitoring, and
- Resolution of information security violations.

Leading security incident responses and conducting investigations of suspected security breaches or violations of the IT Security Policy, including those of a sensitive and confidential nature.

Reviewing and approving information security risk assessments, developing risk mitigation strategies where required, and escalating to senior management/leadership when appropriate.

Overseeing penetration testing, phishing campaigns and otherwise leading or coordinating other vulnerability management related activities to ensure findings are addressed in a timely manner.

Developing and fostering strong relationships with counterparts and colleagues in other organizations and associations who are cybersecurity, risk mitigation and related experts.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline with seven to ten years of information security leadership experience in a complex business environment (preferably healthcare) or a combination of education, training and directly relevant experience.

Active Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or equivalent.
Well versed in network security including intrusion detection and intrusion prevention techniques, and knowledgeable on CISCO, F5, and other security appliances.
Sound understanding of the underlying principles and concepts associated with information technology, enterprise architecture and strategic IT planning.
Demonstrated ability to remain current with new technologies and new versions of existing technologies and the ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems independently.
Ability to independently plan, organize and prioritize work and to resolve problems and communicate effectively both verbally and written.
Ability to teach and effectively communicate very technical concepts to others.

Salary Range: $102,938 to $147,974

Typical Hiring Range: $102,938 to $128,673

In determining salary, HEABC considers many factors including the successful candidate’s skillset and experience as well as internal equity. The final salary offer will be at HEABC’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
