We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our exceptional team of engineers during this period of rapid expansion and transformation. As we prepare for tremendous growth over the next two years, this role offers you a chance to work closely with our engineering leadership and contribute to all aspects of the development process, from system architecture to user interface, API tier, service tier, and data tier. Additionally, you will collaborate with our team of deployment engineers to install software at client sites.

To excel in this role, you will need the following competencies:

A minimum of 10 years of experience in software development
At least 5 years of hands-on cloud experience
Recent coding expertise in Ruby, SQL, JavaScript, and PowerShell
Proficiency in CI/CD practices
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM/Kanban
Excellent communication skills to collaborate efficiently with team members and stakeholders.

Our Tech Stack includes AWS, Linux, Ruby on Rails (Monolith), Tailwind/Hotwire frameworks, Minitest/RSpec, Docker/Kubernetes, Postgres, PowerShell, JavaScript, REST, and React.

While not mandatory, the following experiences and certifications would be beneficial:

A background in government tech or public safety tech would be helpful, but not required.
Previous involvement in successful technical transformations is a plus.
AWS or Azure Certifications would be beneficial.
Experience with SOC 2 or other high-regulation procedures
Infrastructure as Code knowledge

The hiring tier for this position is targeted for Senior Software Engineer. However, depending on the applicants' qualifications and experience, there is a potential for the role to level up to Staff Software Engineer.
