Sr. Software Engineer

About this role

In this role, you’ll primarily be responsible for writing good code. You’ll also need to help our other senior developers determine and enforce development best practices; teaching our junior/intermediate developers what good code looks like and how to write it. Your key success metrics are: minimizing bugs going to production and getting work done on time.

Responsibilities

1. Help shape the future of our Portal platform and future properties

2. Write PHP 7 with Laravel & Drupal - and JavaScript - ES6 with Vue.js & jQuery

3. Review and provide feedback on other developers’ contributions

4. Identify and offer solutions to problems within all areas of the Portal’s stack

5. Continually improve yourself and, by extension, our software offering

Required skills

1. 4+ years of experience as a software developer in any language

2. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

3. Strong OOP skills

4. Strong knowledge of code design patterns

5. Attention to detail
