Overview

This position is for a Lead Software Developer with added experience in leading Scrums and Agile Ceremonies. This person will program new automations in Python and/or UiPath working with other RPA Developers, Business Analysts, and customers of the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team. They will help translate new automation requests into Agile stories and development tasks for themselves and other software developers to execute. They will help mentor other RPA software developers as well as coordinate sprints, daily stand-ups, retrospectives and other Agile ceremonies.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal customers, business analysts, and management to identify technical specifications
Design and architect algorithms and software flows to build intelligent software robot automations.
Produce clean, documented and highly maintainable software code
Unit test and troubleshoot all written code
Provide quick break-fix robot retrofits as environments change
Perform peer code reviews being willing to both give and receive feedback
Apply best practices to building sustainable automation and maintainable code
Be a player/coach developing new automations while leading Agile ceremonies
Mentor more junior developers in good coding practices
Coordinate with RPA Manager and Business Analyst to help groom story backlogs
Coach team members in Agile methodologies and lead the team’s efforts to grow in Agile maturity
Help champion client experience within the team

Qualifications

BS or Master’s in computer science, information systems, business or related fields with 5+ years of proven experience
5+ years in developing software solutions
3+ years of experience leading Agile methodologies as a Scrum Master
Strong technical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge in robotic process automation (RPA) and/or UiPath
Experience in Python automation development (web scraping and Robocorp framework a plus)
Experience building RPA solutions (preferably with Python or UiPath)
Experience with web, database, and api technologies and architecture
Strong communication skills
Expertise on business technology and automation
Understanding of IT architecture, infrastructure and databases
Understand high level process changes and updates to robots to effectively monitor trends and drive for internal improvements as needed to increase overall success of RPA
Experience in implementing technical solutions for customer service a plus
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to assist with decision making related to technical solutions that are maintainable and efficient
