This role is full-time, on-site in Fort Macleod AB.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the IT Supervisors’ primary responsibility is to gather business requirements from various areas in the organizations and translate them into functional system specifications that can be successfully executed within the IT department.

Responsibilities by Daily Core Functions:

Plan, organize, manage, and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing.
Handle Daily IT operations (service provisioning, customer service, troubleshooting, monitoring, etc.)
Implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting (network, server, software, hardware, network security);
Provide internal IT Support (desktops/laptops, printers, wireless, software, etc.)
Operate and maintain data center facilities, infrastructure, and services;
Develop and implement data administration policies and standards;
Assist with implementation of new systems and services.
Coordinate with third party contractors for installations, service & purchases

Systems Security Analysis:

Confer with internal clients to identify and document requirements;
Confer with internal clients to identify and document requirements, assess physical and technical security risks to data, software and hardware;
Develop policies, procedures, and contingency plans to minimize the effects of security breaches

Information System Improvements:

Develop and implement performance improvements to maximize the efficiency, effectiveness and overall quality of software and information systems.
Develop and maintain cyber security training
Provide recommendations to leadership team on improvement opportunities

Systems Audits:

Conduct independent reviews to assess quality assurance practices, software product and information systems.
Coordinate regular cyber security testing throughout organization

Education and experience:

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering, business administration or a related discipline OR completion of a college program in computer science is usually required.
Project management, systems development and/or support/operational experience is preferred;
Maintenance of traditional and cloud applications is desired;
Business Analyst and/or Project Management Certification would be considered an asset;
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Valid Driver's License
Proficient in server maintenance and management
Ability to coach and assist adult learners with technology
