• Commit to provide on-call remote and or onsite support during non-business hours for problems resolutions on a rotational basis or as required

• Working knowledge of automation tools

• Expert knowledge in diagnosing complex network performance issues and working with Network Monitoring systems, Wireshark, IPERF, NETFLOW, IP SLA and other network troubleshooting/performance benchmarking techniques

• In-depth knowledge of enterprise voice concepts and strong knowledge of PSTN services such as SIP trunking, SIP Signaling, Message Header Manipulation, SBC’s setup and configuraiton, Dial Plans, Voice Policies, Unified Messaging, audio gateways, location based routing, emergency calling and audio conferencing

• SBC-Session Border Controller and Cisco Voice Gateway configuration experience , in that order of preference

• Expertise in enterprise voice configurations, policies, and routing over a complex WAN infrastructure (SBC, SIP, Media Gateways, VoIP, H.323, PBX, QoS)

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with other network engineers to design, implement and support enterprise on-prem and cloud networks

• Study, recommend and initiate solutions for expanded capacity, features and capabilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, identify and remedy areas of congestion and/or degraded quality

• Monitoring and management of network and voice infrastructure for continuous uptime and SLA maintenance

• Technical prime in any incidents affecting Network and Voice operations, accountable for root cause analysis and remediation activities, including working with vendor support to resolution

• Working quickly on open tickets assigned to group and participate in impact analysis where application for related ticket issues as well as provide On Call support on a bi-weekly rotation with availability to provide remote and/or on-site assistance during off-work hours/extended hours as required

• Support migration in Cisco technology. Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining monitoring access

• Report of risks, trends and service gaps to IT leadership
