C# Developer Position Description

Education: A BS required with a major in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems required.

Position Description:

Looking for a highly motivated person with an excellent work ethic to develop new and existing systems.
The position will require the ability to work on a 24X7 Algo trading platform and work with trades to manage their PL and position spreadsheet.
The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to learn much about the energy commodities business, and to work in a true team environment.
The developer will be part of the front office development group and will participate in the new Algo product/model development initiative and work with trades to manage their PL and position spreadsheet. The individual will adhere to established standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle.
The individual will be required to create POC, design documents, and documentation.

Responsibility

Work very closely with traders to understand model requirements and implement the same.
Support and maintain the existing Algo model and platform.
Ensure consistent uptime of the Algo platforms.
Monitor the Algo platforms for any issues and failures, analyze the cause and escalate it to traders and senior management.
Strong analytic skill to investigate P&L and position issues. And strong excel skills.
Integrate with vendor-third party systems to extract trade and pricing information to make analytical decisions.
Integrate into production workflow including development, project management, and source control tools.
Communicating to both technical and non-technical people the pros and cons of design choices.

Required Skills:

7 to 10 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-level, n-tier, software solutions using Microsoft technologies.
Proficiency with Microsoft C# is a must.
In-depth knowledge of .NET framework, .NET Core
Knowledge of OOP, Server technologies, and SOA is a must.
Relevant experience with database design and SQL (MS-SQL).
Financial services experience is strongly preferred.
Java knowledge will be an added advantage.
Thorough understanding of XML/JSON and related technologies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, strong writing, and analytical skills.
Excellent work ethic with team-player qualities a must.
