Job title: Cyber Security Instructor

Timings: M (6 PM - 10 PM EST) Wed (6 PM - 9 PM) Thu (6 PM - 8 PM)

Duties and Responsibilities

Teach assigned courses as specified in the schedule and course contract
Observe and evaluate student performance in meeting course objectives and learning outcomes through assignments, practical exercises, and assessments; provide feedback in a timely manner on student progress and performance
Prepare course materials and lesson plans for the Live Sessions and Virtual Labs.
Follow and guide students to the prescribed course Material
Use a learning management system and another technology platform to access, assignments and other materials and to communicate with students
Use Virtual Classroom Platform and Virtual Lab Platform to conduct live in person sessions.
Deliver course content using a variety of teaching styles and provide interesting and engaging assignments/examples that demonstrate the real-world applications of concepts covered
Be available for student consultation through office hours or scheduled appointments using the Virtual platform or by phone or email
Encourage students to submit course evaluations, review course evaluations when available, and use feedback to improve course delivery
Provide feedback to revise and update course content as needed
Attend one or more orientation sessions to become familiar with policies and procedures and the learning management system
Respond to Students' Questions within XX Hours of receiving questions.
Follow Instructor Delivery Standards as prescribed by central operations

Qualifications

Prior teaching experience in corporate training, particularly for adult students desirable
Prior experience teaching online is desirable

Sys Administration - flavors RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS.
Database skills ( relational)
Networking
Python Scripting - basic/intermediate
Setup virtualized environments
Perform VAPT
Take steps to “Protect and Defend”
Risk Management and Mitigation
Track, alert, report and respond to Incidents – SIEM framework
Working knowledge - Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure (CVD), Security Infra - IDS, IPS, HIDS, HIPS, Incident Response Procedure, Cryptography - PKI, Metasploit
Database skills – Any RDBMS, NoSQL

Current knowledge of the relevant discipline

Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching adult learners
Commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring students
Ability to use technology effectively in teaching
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Good organizational skills and timeliness in responding to student inquiries
Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with students and colleagues
For online teaching, experience with teaching fully online or in a hybrid format
