Job Description

As an Information Security Analyst, your primary role is to protect an organization's computer systems, networks, and data from potential security threats and breaches. Your job responsibilities may include:

Monitoring and Analysis: Continuously monitoring systems and networks for potential security breaches, unauthorized access, or unusual activity. Analyzing security logs, incident reports, and other data sources to identify security issues and vulnerabilities.

Vulnerability Assessments: Conducting regular assessments and tests to identify vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications. This involves using various tools and techniques to discover weaknesses and potential entry points for attackers. Work in the capacity of IS (Information Security) Advisory with deployment and business unit as related to Ops security activities.

Incident Response: Developing and implementing incident response plans to effectively respond to and mitigate security incidents. This includes investigating security breaches, coordinating with relevant stakeholders, and taking necessary actions to contain and resolve incidents. Work on security audits, review findings, RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and track the action plans.

Risk Assessment: Performing risk assessments to identify potential security risks and their potential impact on the organization. This involves evaluating security controls, identifying vulnerabilities, and providing recommendations to mitigate risks. Work on risk management services delivery across various modules.

Security Architecture and Design: Collaborating with IT teams to design and implement secure architectures for systems, networks, and applications. Ensuring that security controls and best practices are integrated into the design and development process. Develop, Review, and Implement of security applications, policies & practices.

Security Awareness and Training: Developing and delivering security awareness programs to educate employees about security threats, best practices, and policies. Conducting training sessions and workshops to promote a security-conscious culture within the organization. Work on IAM (Identity and Access Management) and Security Tool implementation and generate reports on security metrics for Sales teams.

Security Incident Documentation: Documenting and maintaining records of security incidents, including their nature, impact, and resolution. Creating incident reports and sharing lessons learned to improve incident response and prevention strategies.

Security Policies and Procedures: Developing and updating security policies, procedures, and guidelines to establish best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards. Communicating and enforcing these policies across the organization.

Security Tools and Technologies: Evaluating, implementing, and managing security tools, technologies, and solutions. This may include firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, security information and event management (SIEM) systems, and other security-related software. Responsible for Data Integrity and Information Security assessments for application and platform infrastructure.

Security Research and Threat Intelligence: Staying up to date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques. Monitoring security forums, industry publications, and collaborating with external sources to gather threat intelligence and enhance the organization's security posture.

Incident Forensics and Investigation: Conducting forensic analysis of security incidents to determine the root cause, extent of damage, and potential mitigation strategies. Gathering and preserving evidence for legal and regulatory purposes when necessary.

It is crucial for Information Security Analysts to stay updated on emerging security trends and continuously improve their skills and knowledge to effectively protect organizational assets.
