Summary

The Cyber Security Analyst safeguards information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security conerns. This is an entry-level position reporting to the VP, Information Security.

Essential Job Functions

Evaluate Vendors around data security risk utilizing industry standard risk matrix.
Manage door and badge system.
Protects system by reviewing access privileges, control structures, and resources.
Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities, reporting violations.
Recommends security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting audits.
Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports, communicating system status.
Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications.
Contributes to IT helpdesk team effort by accomplishing and assisting on related projects as needed.
Provide guidance to administrators and users on mitigation steps required
Work with Security Administrator to implement and manage backend systems

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams and LogicGate
Must have demonstrable balance of business and technical skills
Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, including ability to establish strong relationships with internal customers.
Basic understanding of database structure, cloud technologies.

Experience Required (Minimum Required)

2 or less years experience in Information Technology or Information Security
Base knowledge of information security or information technology
Base understanding of audit process

Education Required (Minimum Required)

Security Certifications – Security +

Experience/Education Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security or equivalent experience
Military experience
