Overview

The VP of Commercial Sales will build and lead a cross-functional team of experienced sales, account executives, channel and inside sales professionals in establishing and growing a productive and sustainable sales pipeline for RedSeal “Network” and Stratus, RedSeal’s Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) product. The VP of Commercial Sales will define market tactics to meet annual business goals and help transform and integrate all Go-To-Market functions for RedSeal and Stratus. In addition to the requisite passion, skills and experience, the successful candidate will have a measurable track record in building and managing high performing on premise and SaaS sales organizations.

The VP of Commercial Sales must have the ability to develop and implement an effective go-to-market plan for Stratus, aligned with RedSeal’s overall strategy. The successful candidate is an inspiring leader of people who can recruit and retain exceptional sales talent, support the team in delivering on the agreed metrics, and while leading from the front, work alongside the team to exceed the sales targets for this new product offering.

As The VP Of Commercial Sales, You Will

Be accountable for consistently delivering and overachieving against targets – ensuring RedSeal’s goals, and objectives are achieved consistently.
Analyze data and dynamics to maximize existing successes and to create new sales growth opportunities.
Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual targets and establish and manage data and supporting metrics (pipeline coverage, ASP, etc.).
Effectively develop, design, build, and execute all aspects of the business plan to generate short-term results while holding a long-term perspective of overall results predictably and consistently.
Put into place sales force structure, process strategies, and strategic resource plans that will capture key opportunities in target markets, enterprise accounts/prospects, partners or industry verticals.
Unearth customer insights, define value propositions and determine appropriate sales and marketing strategy to maximize growth objectives.
Own the pipeline generation strategy and work with internal stakeholders to execute against the strategy.
Maintain market intelligence and develop strategies to grow RedSeal into a leadership position in the CSPM space.
Employ a growth mindset, with the ability to outline long-term vision and strategy.
Serve as an active participate in developing the annual sales commission plan, focusing on both rewarding sales and ensuring fiscal responsibility for RedSeal.
Build a team of direct sales, account management, channel and inside sales professionals.
Foster an open and inclusive success-oriented team environment, building a results-driven culture of accountability and transparency.
Lead by example, set expectations, follow through effectively and provide coaching and mentorship as needed.
Develop channel programs and relationships to grow Stratus sales.
Collaborate with sales engineering, channels, customer success, the renewals team, professional services, product, legal, finance, marketing and engineering teams to create a seamless customer experience.

You will be a great fit for us if you have/are:

7+ years’ experience building and running enterprise sales teams in the software industry.
3+ years’ experience selling SaaS products to the enterprise.
3+ years’ experience in a sales leadership role.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Prior experience in the Federal and Commercial lines of business.
Previously led an ARR sales organization with substantial growth.
Subscription, SaaS and/or Cloud software experience.
Relevant software industry experience in any of the following: IT systems, cloud enterprise or infrastructure management, application development and management, security, business applications and/or analytics. Prior experience in cybersecurity a definite plus.
A history of consistently meeting/exceeding targets and objectives personally and as a leader.
Strong experience in business planning and diligence at measuring and communicating progress towards the plan, identifying roadblocks, and coming up with appropriate solutions.
Technically strong and accustomed to selling into CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, CTOs and Lines of Business.
Excellent leadership and influencing skills, including the ability to build strong business partnerships both outside and within the organization.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective at delivering executive level presentations.
An operational mindset and experience bringing process and rigor to an organization.
A passion for innovation, with the courage to nourish “outside the box” thinking to surface and pursue new ideas.

Additional Job Details

This position reports to the SVP, Global Enterprise Sales.
Domestic travel required.
