We're scaling up our engineering, product, and operations teams and are seeking an Ottawa, Canada-based experienced Senior Technology Operations Engineer to join us on this revolutionary and pioneering journey.

About the Role

As our Senior Technology Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for the configuration, deployment, maintenance, and reliable operation of our Hybrid-cloud Software as a Service (SaaS) platform QiSpace.

Responsibilities

Act as Infrastructure Architect with overall day-to-day responsibility for the complete Technology Infrastructure required for Quantropi's QiSpace Platform, including the following elements:Production Quantum Entropy Servers running on dedicated rack-mounted Linux servers in one (or more) Datacenter co-location facilities with redundant ISP connections

Production Quantum Cloud services running in a high-availability configuration on Amazon Web Services with potential future expansion to other public cloud providers
Development, Testing, and Staging environments to appropriate mirror the Production environment to support product development
Software distribution environment to support customer downloads of QiSpace software products

Working directly with Product Engineering, QA, and Security to implement operations-specific standards and modifications integrated into our DevSecOps lifecycle
Specification, development, and Testing of deployment methods to support Continuous Delivery of the QiSpace product components to Quantropi-managed environments and customer installations
Work with Quantropi Product Security Lead to define, develop, and manage systems security monitoring for the Quantropi platform, along with incident management, response, and reporting
Definition and monitoring of Platform QoS and uptime/availability
Definition, Development, and Testing for system resiliency and disaster recovery

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in Data center design/build, Network design/build, and AWS Cloud system administration and deployments
Experience with enterprise firewall configuration
College Certificate or Diploma, or Associate / Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or equivalent experience required
Extensive experience with Linux-based systems, Docker, GitHub
Experience being the lead technical responder or participating in incident response in a hybrid-cloud- environment, leveraging strong analytical and data literacy skills to find the needle in the haystack
Knowledge and experience with performance monitoring tools and event logging/analysis
Demonstrated proficiency in security incident response and security operations programs in a technical environment
Analytical and strong organizational skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Proven leadership skills, allowing you to develop and mentor others as well as build credibility with the Quantropi team while executing broader security strategies
