Position overview:

The Cybersecurity instructor is a lead member of Protexxa’s academic team responsible for the (online, remote, synchronous and a-synchronous) teaching and delivery of the Cyber Nations cybersecurity program. The instructor academic and hands-on practical expertise to our learners and knows how to train and support students in the subject matter. The instructor knows how to create and follow lesson plans and works collaboratively with the academic coordinator and other instructors on sustainable and successful delivery. Education is a staple of the Protexxa solutions, and the instructor is responsible for the training delivery while achieving the highest academic standards and meeting the learning outcomes. The instructor will also provide support when needed to the creation of other learning offerings that are part of the Protexxa personalized cybersecurity platform.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Provide cybersecurity training, leveraging Cisco NetACAD and CompTIA security curriculum
Help develop additional training materials
Perform skills assessments
Track student progress
Help students choose a field or career to pursue
other duties as assigned

The successful candidate will have:

Completed CompTIA security+ and other CompTIA learning offerings
Demonstrated ability to roll up their sleeves, be hands-on, while also having the capability and vision to build out a longer-term team and capabilities.
A high degree of resilience and strong change leadership and change management skills.
Excellent planning, prioritization, organizational and budgeting skills
An ability to balance a sense of urgency with shipping high quality and pragmatic solutions
At least 10 years of teaching experience (Secondary or higher-ed) in Math or Science preferred
A proven track record in coaching and developing technical learners and teams
Be a true collaborator and great communicator
