Senior Software Engineer – Raleigh, NC

What makes you successful in this role?

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for performing complex research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line. You will also provide direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products. Your software design work will be across multiple systems as you mentor junior members of the team, while collaborating with users/customers to translate their requests into solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

Developing and testing full-stack desktop and web enterprise software solutions
Leveraging core product technologies for web development and business logic
Participating within an Agile Scrum Team including estimates, design review, grooming, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
Participating in development processes that include code reviews, documentation, and other support
Providing technical mentorship to the group of engineers you work with, enabling them to deliver high-quality solutions on time
Collaborating with team members and other key stakeholders
Communicating status and issues via daily standups, one on one meetings, check-in messages, and/or impromptu occasions
Participating in team building and other activities
Functional ownership, as needed
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

What would we like for you to have?

Required:

5+ years full-stack development experience
Strong understanding of UI and front-end technologies (e.g.: C#/.Net, C++, Clarion, Java, AngularJS, HTML, JavaScript, and/or CSS, etc.)
Experience applying Object Orientated (OO) concepts
Experience with different web application frameworks (e.g.: Single Page Application, MVC, MVVM, Spring, Hibernate, and/or REST, etc.)
Experience with Database concepts (e.g.: SQL queries and Entity Framework/LINQ)
Demonstrated proficiency with unit testing, mock frameworks, debugging, support, and determining root cause of simple problems and performance issues
Adaptable to new challenges and problems; ability and desire to learn and a strong sense of ownership
Ability to recognize problem areas, define and implement patterns and architectural solutions and to mentor others at the product level
Effective verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

Knowledge of basic legal accounting
Experience in the Legal Industry

Compensation package for this position will be between USD $118,000.00 - USD $132,000.00 (depends on experience).
